According to relevant reports, in the first half of this year, CATL's global power battery installed capacity was 71GWh, ranking first for five consecutive years, and its market share reached 34.8%, a year-on-year increase of 6.2 percentage points. Ningde Times stated that its sales volume in the first half of the year exceeded 100GWh, and the second quarter increased compared with the first quarter.

However, the lithium resources currently used in the preparation of lithium-ion batteries in my country mainly depend on imports, and the cost is relatively high. In contrast, sodium resources are widely distributed, the cost is low, and the high and low temperature performance of sodium-ion batteries is excellent, and the safety is more stable. On September 13, relevant data showed that the price of battery-grade lithium carbonate rose by 2,600 yuan/ton in a single day, and the average price stood at 500,000 yuan/ton, an increase of nearly 8 times from the beginning of last year and nearly 80% from the beginning of this year.
