MD laser ranging sensor is a ranging device based on laser technology, used to measure the distance between objects and sensors. MD stands for "Measurement Device", which calculates distance by emitting a pulsed laser and measuring the return time of the laser. MD laser ranging sensors typically include a laser transmitter and a receiver. The laser emitter emits a brief laser pulse that travels at the speed of light and reflects off the surface or target of the object. The receiver of the sensor will receive the reflected laser pulse and measure the time interval from emission to reception. By using the known constant of the speed of light, the distance traveled by the laser pulse during the round-trip process can be calculated by measuring the time interval.
