Ultrapure water is produced by removing impurities from drinking, river or process water, which contains virtually no impurities other than hydrogen ions and hydroxides, to meet high quality standards, including >18.2MΩ-cm (18.2 Mohm) resistivity and other parameters down to parts per trillion, such as Selective Contaminant Extraction (SCE) and RO Infinity (ROI), combined with Electrodeionization (EDI) in the makeup, primary and polishing stages, to reliably produce ultrapure water.
