Description

SiOx Barrier Film is a high gas barrier transparent plastic film which is formed with a SiOx layer on the base film using vacuum deposition method. An SiOx coating can be applied to various types of substrates. Like polyethylene terephthalate (PET), oriented polyamide (OPA) and biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP). The solid silicon oxide is heated by an electron beam and sublimates, then the vapor condensates, forming a very thin barrier layer on the film that is conveyed on a cooling roll. The thickness of the crystal clear, thin layer is between 40 and 80 nanometers according to the application. SiOx Barrier Film is a high gas barrier transparent plastic film which is formed with a SiOx layer on the base film using vacuum deposition method. An SiOx coating can be applied to various types of substrates. Like polyethylene terephthalate (PET), oriented polyamide (OPA) and biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP). The solid silicon oxide is heated by an electron beam and sublimates, then the vapor condensates, forming a very thin barrier layer on the film that is conveyed on a cooling roll. The thickness of the crystal clear, thin layer is between 40 and 80 nanometers according to the application.
