Description

The horticulture waste could be used to extract the lignin which could then be converted in bio-char. Pre-treatment and post treatment of biochar is extensively done to reduce the impurities and to enhance the overall purity of the lignin based graphene. Graphene from lignin could be produced utilizing two sequential processes, thermal treatment and degradation of lignin. In degradation process, carbon growth is done followed by exfoliation. Post degradation, lignin is thermally treated to enhance the carbon content and to tear down the complex structure of the lignin.

Description

The horticulture waste could be used to extract the lignin which could then be converted in bio-char. Pre-treatment and post treatment of biochar is extensively done to reduce the impurities and to enhance the overall purity of the lignin based graphene. Graphene from lignin could be produced utilizing two sequential processes, thermal treatment and degradation of lignin. In degradation process, carbon growth is done followed by exfoliation. Post degradation, lignin is thermally treated to enhance the carbon content and to tear down the complex structure of the lignin.
