E-methanol is a low-carbon methanol produced by synthesizing green hydrogen from renewable-based electricity and green carbon dioxide (CO2) captured from biomass sources. The technology of CO2 hydrogenation to methanol not only alleviates environmental problems such as the greenhouse effect but also effectively promotes the utilization of CO2 resources. Cu-based catalysts have been extensively studied due to their low cost and their effectiveness in synthesizing methanol.
