Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), or synthetic aperture radar, is a high-resolution radar device. Its SAR satellite system, which is carried on a satellite, has become one of the important means of earth observation. SAR satellites use the principle of synthetic aperture to measure the distance by emitting electromagnetic pulses and receiving target echoes, thereby generating high-resolution radar images. It uses the relative motion between the radar and the target to synthesize the smaller real antenna aperture into a larger equivalent antenna aperture by data processing, thereby achieving high-resolution imaging of the ground.
