Atmospheric alkaline electrolyzer is a technical device used to produce hydrogen by electrolyzing water. Its working principle is to use alkaline solution (usually sodium hydroxide NaOH or potassium KOH aqueous solution) as electrolyte under normal pressure to decompose water into hydrogen and oxygen through direct current. The characteristics of this type of electrolyzer are that the operating pressure is close to atmospheric pressure and the volume of gas produced during the electrolysis process is large.
