Description

Helium 3 is one of the isotopes of helium, and its chemical symbol is ³He. Its nucleus is composed of two protons and one neutron, and it is a stable isotope. Its abundance is generally above 99%, and it is a colorless, tasteless, odorless and stable gas, which is generally stored in high-pressure gas cylinders.

At present, there are only two sources of helium 3 on Earth. One source is that the Earth is "naturally" born, but the proportion is very small, only about 0.000137%, and it has not yet been mined and utilized. The other source is as a byproduct of nuclear weapons, formed when tritium undergoes radioactive decay. The required process is complex and the technical level is high. Only about 15 kilograms can be supplied each year. Since the increase in terrorist attacks around the world, countries have attached importance to national defense construction, and many countries have deployed a large number of neutron detectors, and the demand for helium 3 has been rising. At present, the existing helium 3 on Earth is far from meeting the current demand.

With the advancement of science and technology, more and more countries are setting their sights on the moon. According to detection, the amount found in natural storage on the moon is 100 million times higher than the content on Earth, and mining on the moon will become a major trend in the future.

The global Helium 3 market size is expected to reach $ 77.3 million by 2030, rising at a market growth of 36.7% CAGR during the forecast period (2024-2030).

At present, helium 3 is produced by the nuclear decay of tritium, a radioactive isotope of hydrogen. The process is relatively complex and requires a high level of technology.

Due to the scarcity of original helium 3 reserves on the earth, companies cannot mine and utilize it; at the same time, the production technology of helium 3 requires high costs, and there are few production companies.

Helium 3 is one of the isotopes of helium, and its chemical symbol is ³He. Its nucleus is composed of two protons and one neutron, and it is a stable isotope. Its abundance is generally above 99%, and it is a colorless, tasteless, odorless and stable gas, which is generally stored in high-pressure gas cylinders.

At present, there are only two sources of helium 3 on Earth. One source is that the Earth is "naturally" born, but the proportion is very small, only about 0.000137%, and it has not yet been mined and utilized. The other source is as a byproduct of nuclear weapons, formed when tritium undergoes radioactive decay. The required process is complex and the technical level is high. Only about 15 kilograms can be supplied each year. Since the increase in terrorist attacks around the world, countries have attached importance to national defense construction, and many countries have deployed a large number of neutron detectors, and the demand for helium 3 has been rising. At present, the existing helium 3 on Earth is far from meeting the current demand.

With the advancement of science and technology, more and more countries are setting their sights on the moon. According to detection, the amount found in natural storage on the moon is 100 million times higher than the content on Earth, and mining on the moon will become a major trend in the future.
