Ferrous sulfate has three major forms, ferrous sulfate heptahydrate, ferrous sulfate monohydrate, and ferrous sulfate tetrahydrate. Ferrous sulfate heptahydrate is a direct byproduct of titanium dioxide, and ferrous sulfate monohydrate and ferrous sulfate tetrahydrate can be further processed from ferrous sulfate heptahydrate. Feed grade ferrous sulfate is mainly used as feed additive.
