SMA actuators, or shape memory alloy actuators, are smart material actuators that use the unique shape memory effect (SME) of shape memory alloys to achieve specific functions. SMA actuators change their shape through external stimuli (such as temperature, stress or magnetic field) and can return to their original shape after the stimulus is removed. This feature makes SMA actuators have broad application prospects in many fields.

SMA materials can change their shape within a specific temperature range and return to a predetermined shape during heating or cooling. This shape memory effect is achieved through the phase change process of the material, that is, the material changes from one crystal structure to another during heating, thereby changing its shape. When an external stimulus (such as electric current heating) acts on the SMA element, the element will contract and generate driving force and displacement; when the stimulus is removed, the SMA element will return to its original state under the action of the bias spring, thereby achieving reciprocating drive control.

SMA actuators, or shape memory alloy actuators, are smart material actuators that use the unique shape memory effect (SME) of shape memory alloys to achieve specific functions. SMA actuators change their shape through external stimuli (such as temperature, stress or magnetic field) and can return to their original shape after the stimulus is removed. This feature makes SMA actuators have broad application prospects in many fields.

SMA materials can change their shape within a specific temperature range and return to a predetermined shape during heating or cooling. This shape memory effect is achieved through the phase change process of the material, that is, the material changes from one crystal structure to another during heating, thereby changing its shape. When an external stimulus (such as electric current heating) acts on the SMA element, the element will contract and generate driving force and displacement; when the stimulus is removed, the SMA element will return to its original state under the action of the bias spring, thereby achieving reciprocating drive control.
