Description

Low silicon high calcium fused magnesia is mainly made of selected natural magnesite or low silicon high calcium magnesite concentrate powder after flotation, which is made by briquetting and melting in an electric arc furnace. The main feature of low silicon high calcium fused magnesia is that the silicon dioxide content is relatively low, and the molar ratio of calcium oxide to silicon dioxide is higher than 2. Magnesium carbon bricks produced by low silicon high calcium fused magnesia with a molar ratio of calcium oxide to silicon dioxide higher than 2 generate high melting point dicalcium silicate and tricalcium silicate at high temperature, which is conducive to the stability of the coexistence of magnesia and graphite, forming a solid slag layer, inhibiting graphite oxidation, and effectively improving the slag resistance and corrosion resistance of magnesia carbon bricks.

Description

Low silicon high calcium fused magnesia is mainly made of selected natural magnesite or low silicon high calcium magnesite concentrate powder after flotation, which is made by briquetting and melting in an electric arc furnace. The main feature of low silicon high calcium fused magnesia is that the silicon dioxide content is relatively low, and the molar ratio of calcium oxide to silicon dioxide is higher than 2. Magnesium carbon bricks produced by low silicon high calcium fused magnesia with a molar ratio of calcium oxide to silicon dioxide higher than 2 generate high melting point dicalcium silicate and tricalcium silicate at high temperature, which is conducive to the stability of the coexistence of magnesia and graphite, forming a solid slag layer, inhibiting graphite oxidation, and effectively improving the slag resistance and corrosion resistance of magnesia carbon bricks.
